Contract with University:
Student Life in Ukraine, After arrival, we take the student to the University and presents the original documents and signs a contract with the University and pay the tuition fees (once the tuition fees paid it can’t be refunded), after this payment the University will issue an identity card to a student. And finally, the student will complete a police registration in police foreigner’s office at the university.
University tuition fees:
University tuition fees are payable by students is subsequent years at the University for Bachelor Degree, 2000 to 3500 US D for 3500 Master Degree, and 3500 US Dollar for Ph.D. Degree for each year ($4500 to $5000 per year for medical and aviation student).
Students sign a separate annual contract for Residency in the University Hostel. Admission to University does not guarantee a room in the Hostel. Beds are allocated on the basis of availability. Students are advised to arrive in Ukraine early to get a seat in the Hostel. Hostel fees are paid once at the beginning of the year and it is very much cheaper than Private flat. Cost of the hostel is
40 – 45 US D per month. In university hostels 2 students Live is one room, this is why some students prefer to rent private flat.
Living outside the Hostel:
Students can choose to live in private flats. In this case, Students must inform the University and police Registration Office of their address. In Kiev 2 or 3 students can rent a 2 or 3 bedroom Flat for 400 to 600 US D respectively, and the same flat costs 2 or 3 times cheaper in other Ukrainian cities.
Before traveling out of Ukraine, students must inform the University to enable the University to arrange for the re-entry visa.
Money transfer and opening bank account:
Depending on your country, you can choose banks or money transfer agencies to transfer money, and if you have a problem to transfer money please contact us we will help you to open your own bank account and to deposit foreign currency and Ukrainian Hryvnia in your account.
The cost of transports in Ukraine:
Ukraine has a developed transportation system. The cost of travel by train for a distance of 500 km is about 15 US D. And the Flight cost, for the same distance is about 50 US D. The fare for taxis is $US 1 + $US 0.20 per 1 km. Tickets for buses, Trolleybuses, trams, metro is about 0.20 US Dollar.
The cost of living:
The cost of living in Ukraine is very cheaper than other European countries and depending on whether you will be living in university hostel or private flats, and individual needs.
Life and health insurance:
Medical Insurance is necessary and obligatory for registration of foreign students in Ukrainian universities The student has to purchase an annual medical insurance that costs about 100 US D. Before your arrival to Ukraine, we can apply for the Medical Insurance on the behalf of you.
The National currency is Hryvnia (UAH), in April 2016, one US D = 26.98 Hryvnia. Students can change foreign currency in banks, kiosks, or in the international airport. But the exchange rate is not the same in banks, kiosks, or airport, and it may vary up to 30 or more Hryvna for each 100 US D. You can find tables of best exchange rates and address of banks on the Internet. You can use your credit cards by international payment systems in many of the shops, hotels, transport companies, clubs, and restaurants.
Social Activities and Trips
SWith it’s in numerous student populations in several universities and renowned institutes, the Ukrainian cities posses’ great openings for leisure and other social activities, Student Life in Ukraine Is fun. Relaxing on the banks of the river is very traditional and popular. Also, the country is renowned for most scenic areas. You’ll also have the opportunity to visit some of Ukraine most famous and historical cities and sights, including Yalta, Odessa, red sea, etc.
Activities and Sporting, our student committee organizes such activities at the colleges.
Social Club Activities
Indulge yourselves into social activities and organize theater visits, meals, parties and trips to parks and paintballing venues.
Speak out! – and discuss current affairs, political, social or ethical topics with your fellow students. We have a number of chess boards available and run tournaments on demand.
Sports and activities
We offer a verity from varied sporting activities which includes football, basketball, badminton, swimming, table tennis and ice skating.
Get creative and give a great look to your CV… involve yourselves in writing or editing your universities newsletter and impress employers!
Learn art from co-students at the Art Club and arrange tours and trips to sketch the lovely city of Ukraine.
During the beginning of every academic session, students get to interact with the Student Services Officer to discuss the formation of a University Student Committee. This student commission is representative of various activities and is organizers of social events.
